The "Heartbeat" singer, who's married to McEntire's stepson Brandon Blackstock, had only the nicest things to say about the country icon, one of seven stars chosen for the 50th Anniversary Milestone Award at Sunday's show.

"Our next Milestone recipient and performer is the ACMs top-winning female vocalist, with a total of seven awards," Clarkson began. "During her amazing career, she has won a total of 13 ACM Awards. Plus, she put this show on the map by hosting 14 times."

She continued: "I never could have imagined when I was at the ACMs nine years ago, and I yelled backstage to Reba, 'I want to be you when I grow up,' that one day, we would not only become friends...but in the most crazy twist of fate, she would become my family."

Taylor Swift's Mother Presents Her With an Award

In a fairly blatant attempt to drive ratings to its broadcast on Sunday night, the Academy of Country Music Awards announced it would present Taylor Swift with a Milestone Award. The honor, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the ACMs, was given to seven artists who made a major impact in the genre.

Swift, of course, is award show gold — her gif-ready awkward dancing and promise of millions of fans tuning in make her irresistible to TV ceremonies. Swift announced the news to Nashville last August that after a wildly successful run in the country genre, she was officially coming into the pop world with her new album, “1989.”

Thus, her win for the Milestone Award. Not to mention she was also nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards last fall.

Swift also won the  elusive Pinnacle Award at CMA in 2013.

She proudly accepted her award and thanked the industry, firmly saying good bye to the music industry.

Shaw shows why United paid £27m

Luke Shaw angered some Manchester United supporters when he admitted he wouldn't know whether to celebrate if he scored against his boyhood club at Stamford Bridge.

Shaw is yet to get off the mark in his career but his attacking contribution dwarfed almost all of his teammates on Saturday.

He ran relentlessly at Branislav Ivanovic and his feeble bodyguard Oscar, and it appeared as though only a lack of game-time prevented Shaw from sustaining that momentum, as Tyler Blackett replaced him.

Daley Blind will have a fight on his hands to regain his left-back berth.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Chicago Bulls: 

Behind the one-two punch of Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose, the Chicago Bulls opened their 2015 playoff run with a 103-91 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday at the United Center.

Butler finished with a game-high 25 points on 8-of-14 shooting, while Rose added 23 with a 9-of-16 performance. The two combined to hand out 13 assists as well.

Aaron Hernandez Found Guilty of First-Degree Murder

Aaron Hernandez, a former tight end with the New England Patriots, was convicted of first-degree murder and several weapons and ammunitions charges Wednesday, ending the stunning downfall of a player who was once one of the N.F.L.’s most promising young stars.

Mr. Hernandez, who is 25 years old, will spend the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murder of Late Mr Odin Lloyd, who was dating with Shayanna Jenkins ,Mr. Hernandez’s fiancée is her brother . The body of Mr. Lloyd,a semi-professional fotball player,He shot six time, in June 2013 in a pit at an industrial park near Mr. Hernandez’s home in North Attleboro, Mass.

Mr. Hernandez’s motive, prosecutors said, was that Mr. Lloyd spoke with people Mr. Hernandez did not like at a bar in Boston. This case took more than two months, 100 witnesses were called , no weapon found , and no independent witness to the shooting came forward.


The defense’s case lasted only a day and included three witnesses. Mr. Hernandez’s lawyer, James Sultan, acknowledged that his client was at the scene of the killing and claimed that two other men, who are charged separately for the crime, committed it while high on PCP.

Facing Brock Lesnar was unquestionably the biggest moment of Reigns' career thus far and one that was supposed to take him to the Promised Land.  The Beast Incarnate may be a part-time Superstar in WWE, but that does not mean the company just throws anyone to him for the sake of giving him a match.

WWE obviously believed in Reigns for him to even share the same air as Lesnar.  And besides Cena, there is really no one in the locker room who can make Reigns the way Lesnar could.  The Samoan Superman was on the fast track to stardom in the industry, paired with the man considered to be the most dominant athlete of the modern era.

But as quickly as it began, it was over.

Reigns did not win at Mania and was flat on his back as his former Shield teammate Seth Rollins celebrated with the championship.  Reigns' fans, as well as his critics, likely sat back in amazement as he had apparently reached the top only to just deflate right before their eyes.
